Event Coordinator
Like many people, Tim spent too many years and too many dollars traveling around to learn Acro. Being told constantly Acro, a practice with minimal resource needs, was expensive due to the education of the teachers, this never seemed a valid reason. Being disillusioned with the festival model, despite (like many) having dreams to teach at festivals, Tim stopped attending festivals when none seemed to be of use. With some experience coordinating festival housing and all-in train-cations, Tim was inspired to create a new kind of event after complaints over the skill level allowed at a train-cation. A different kind of event, an anti-train-cation, an event dedicated to creating a community that would never question someone’s attendance based on any factor, only to help them become a better, safer, more informed member. After a few itterations and spreading the event to another location, Denim Events was born. And with Denim Events, Tim hopes to rethink how accessible Acro events can be.
